Internet Explorer Is Dead and It’s Time For Microsoft Edge

Yes you read it right. Internet Explorer is no more. At the company’s build conference, Microsoft announced that Edge will be the primary/default browser built into Windows 10.

Details are still vague on of whether its just the packaging that has changed or there is more to the move than rebranding, but here’s what we know about Microsoft Edge:

  • It features built-in Cortana support.
  • It has built-in reader, note-taking and sharing features.
  • The UI focuses on simplicity and minimalism.
  • Its rendering engine is called EdgeHTML.
